On Dec. 8, The Queens Crossing Mall and Crossing Art hosted its 9th Annual Christmas Art Illumination ceremony featuring an innovative Christmas tree sculpture titled “XOXO”, created by local Queens street artist, Hochul Lee. The Queens Borough President, New York State elected officials and community leaders, carried out the commemoration and invited the community to partake in the celebration. Along with the lighting, there were special live performances by JR. EXILE, MILAN & Young$LOW. The Queens Crossing Mall also celebrated the opening of three new food vendors at its food court. Curry Bo offers authentic Japanese curry made by Japanese chef, Takanori Akiyama. Happy Lemon introduces Taiwanese bubble tea and cheese enriched smoothies, and Young Street Poke provides customizable poke bowls with a selection of the highest quality grains, fish, vegetables and sauces. Passersby and visitors are encouraged to post their “XOXO” pictures with the installation and hashtag #QueensCrossing on social media until Jan. 8 for a chance to win limited editions of Christmas accessories from Pandora Jewelry.
