Ikebana International NY - "The Many Faces of Ikenobo School"

Ikebana International, NY will celebrate spring with a program focusing on the original school of ikebana and exploring how it has changed into the 21st century. The demonstration of Ikenobo arrangements will illustrate the design changes from simple Buddhist priest flower bunches back in the 700’s CE, through the rigorous rikka style to today’s freer arrangements and wider choice of materials. Mini-Ginza sale also prior to the meeting. Location: The Horticultural Society of NY 148 West 37th St. NYC
Time: Wed., April 7 12noon Luncheon|1pm Lecture
