Live lobster special sale (12/20)

Katagiri delicatessen & Gift Shop, conveniently located in Midtown East will have a rare fresh giant tuna cut performance on 12/13 (Sat) at 12pm and 3pm. You can see master chefs cut and slice a whole tuna right before your eyes. There will be fresh sea-urchin and abalone available, as well. Wasabi, Kagayaki rice (brown and white rice) and other products will be in sale.

On 12/20 (Sat), you can get live lobsters and fresh hamachi. Lobsters can be a great Christmas dinner menu!

I went to this performance. Unlike Mitsuwa's event, it was less crowded and I was able to get the part I wanted, akami, chu-toro , and nakaochi. You cannot compare the sashimi slices you get from those cheap sushi places. Me and my boyfriend enjoyed chu-toro and akami as sashimi and nakaochi as tartar and fried after seasoned with garlic, ginger, sesame oil, sake, and soysauce for overnight.
Katagiri also had special sale just for the people gathered for this event. I got bunch of snacks and some grocery items just for 0.99! FUN.
Fresh hamachi sounds good, too!
