New York Film Festival Sidebar: “IN THE REALM OF OSHIMA”

September 27-October 13

The Film Society of Lincoln Center will compliment the selections of the 46th New York Film Festival by launching the North American tour of, “In the Realm of Oshima,” an historical, in-depth look at one of modern cinema’s essential figures. The official festival sidebar, a near-complete retrospective of Japanese director, writer and post-war political firebrand Nagisa Oshima, presents 26 titles spanning five decades, half screening in brand-new 35mm prints.
