MAZDA Continues to Zoom by the Competition with its “6” Series

Product

MAZDA’s commercials using the catch phrase “Zoom-Zoom” are familiar to many people, and this Japanese car company doesn’t disappoint with the latest versions in its “6” series.  Building on the popularity of the first generation MAZDA6 are the newest sports sedan midsized cars, MAZDA6i and MAZDA6s.  These models are the first of their kind in the American market.

They are four-door sedans that differ in the size of their engines. 6i’s new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine has 170-housepower, while 6s’s 3.7 liter V-6 produces a rousing 272 horsepower.  Along with output gains ranging from 9 to 28 percent, fuel economy also rises which is partially attributable to transmission improvements. A new six-speed manual gearbox is standard in the 6i while a five-speed Sport AT automatic with manual shift mode is optional. All MAZDA6s models are equipped with an efficient and responsive six-speed Sport AT automatic transmission with manual shift mode.

The inside of the car can be customized to the color of your choice and various features can be added.  Some basics are an advanced keyless entry system and the ability to control temperature on both the drivers’ and passengers’ sides, as well as a Bluetooth hands-free system and an audio system.  Packages such as Bose surround sound and Sirius satellite radio are available upon request.

In addition, perhaps most important in this downward economy, is the fact that these cars have achieved 9%-28% better mileage due to improved transmission.  If you want a car that is both cool and fuel efficient, look no further than the new MAZDA6i and 6s.  These sports sedan, midsized cars are sure to satisfy both aesthetically and performance-wise.
